Karessa Weir Wheeler Endorses Chuck Grigsby for East Lansing City Council

Why I’m voting for Chuck Grigsby:

I have known Chuck for several years through our mutual activities at Glencairn Elementary School. In that time, I have found Chuck to be a tireless and enthusiastic advocate for the city of East Lansing. He has worked hard to improve the relations with law enforcement in the city and increasing our commitment to human rights. I am grateful for his strong environmental commitment and his willingness to put even more time into our great city.

Matt Kazmierski Endorses Chuck Grigsby for East Lansing City Council

I strongly support Chuck Grigsby for East Lansing City Council. Chuck has proven that he deeply cares about the East Lansing community – by being very active in local schools, organizations, and committees, and by stepping up to address and engage in very important issues within our area. Chuck is great at listening to various interests and voices, and seeing the big picture – allowing him to come up with goals and solutions that benefit us all, rather than a select few. Therefore, I trust that Chuck will be a great representative for the people of East Lansing, and will be casting my vote for him on November 2nd.

Chuck Grigsby Talks with WKAR Public Media

I had the wonderful opportunity to sit down with Megan Schellong of WKAR Public Media from Michigan State University
and spoke with her about East Lansing and some of our community initiatives I’ve been involved with and how they can work with effective communication, active listening, and sound research with a commitment to the solutions. The recent Commission work is a great example of that formula coming to fruition. That is a formula for success to the challenges of post-pandemic life in East Lansing I will bring to the table when elected to the City of East Lansing City Council on November 2, 2021.

Thank you East Lansing Safe Routes to School. I had the excellent opportunity to meet with parents, neighbors, and community members working on significant public safety initiatives for our children, and community who live and works in our city. Coming to a Door Step Near You!

I wanted to give you a quick update on the progress I have made on my “Doorstep Near You” campaign so far. So far, I have walked my way through a few of our East Lansing neighborhoods, with many more on my schedule. Common topics that have come up so far in my discussions with you are transparency, budget, public safety, economic development, environment, MSU, and neighborhood retention. In listening to you, I have learned so much and have come away with an even clearer understanding of what is important to many East Lansing residents. I believe that my going out and knocking on your door to meet you personally and hear what is on your mind is worth the effort!
Before starting the “Doorstep Near You” campaign, I had a strong sense of what I felt was important for our City going forward. Still, the experiences of talking with you have allowed me to further confirm my passion and reevaluate and further develop my role as your next Council Member in the November 2, 2021 election.
Going forward, I will announce what area I will be heading to increase the chances I can actually speak with you and find out what’s on all of your minds and hearts regarding all things East Lansing!
