Councilmember Kerry Ebersole Singh and I hosted an informal community conversation on Thursday, Sept. 24.
Formal Council meetings are important, but we recognize that they don’t always provide the opportunity for a relaxed, two-way conversation. So this gathering gave everyone a chance to share ideas, ask and answer questions, listen, and talk openly about the issues affecting East Lansing. There was no single topic driving this gathering. With the City Council heading into what will be a busy fall, we simply wanted to provide residents with an opportunity to reconnect with their elected officials, neighbors and other community members to discuss the topics that matter to them.
